How To Bleed Air From Tractor Hydraulic System?
Bleeding air from a tractor hydraulic system is an important maintenance task to ensure proper operation and performance. Air in the hydraulic system can lead to reduced efficiency, erratic operation, and potential damage to components. Here are the general steps to bleed air from a tractor hydraulic system:
- Preparation:
- Park the tractor on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Ensure that the hydraulic fluid reservoir is filled to the recommended level.
- Locate the bleed screw or valve on the hydraulic system. It is usually located near the highest point of the system or on the hydraulic cylinder.
- Identify the Bleed Points:
- Depending on the tractor model, there may be multiple bleed points in the hydraulic system.
- Common bleed points include hydraulic cylinders, control valves, and other high points in the system where air can accumulate.
- Open the Bleed Screw/Valve:
- Using an appropriate tool, such as a wrench or screwdriver, carefully loosen the bleed screw or valve.
- Ensure that the bleed screw/valve is opened just enough to allow air to escape, without fully removing it.
- Start the Tractor:
- Start the tractor’s engine and let it run at idle speed.
- Allow the hydraulic system to warm up for a few minutes to ensure optimal fluid flow.
- Operate the Hydraulic Controls:
- Engage the hydraulic controls associated with the bleed point you are working on.
- For example, if bleeding air from a loader hydraulic cylinder, operate the loader control lever to extend and retract the cylinder fully.
- Monitor Fluid and Air Release:
- As you operate the hydraulic controls, observe the bleed screw/valve for the release of air bubbles.
- Fluid may also start to flow from the bleed point, indicating that the air is being purged from the system.
- Close the Bleed Screw/Valve:
- Once air bubbles are no longer present, tighten the bleed screw/valve securely.
- Ensure that the bleed screw/valve is properly sealed to prevent fluid leakage.
- Repeat for Other Bleed Points:
- If there are multiple bleed points in the hydraulic system, repeat the bleeding process for each one.
- Start with the highest point and work your way down to ensure that all air is expelled from the system.
- Check Fluid Level:
- After bleeding air from the hydraulic system, check the fluid level in the reservoir.
- If necessary, add hydraulic fluid to maintain the recommended level.
- Test Hydraulic System:
- With the air bled from the system, test the hydraulic controls and functions to ensure smooth and proper operation.
- Verify that the tractor’s hydraulic system operates as expected without any abnormal noises or performance issues.

The hydraulic cylinder production workshop has four semi-automatic lifting cylinder assembly lines and one automatic tilt cylinder assembly line, with a designed annual production capacity of 1 million pieces. The special cylinder workshop is equipped with various specifications of a semi-automatic cleaning assembly system with a designed annual production capacity of 200,000 and equipped with famous CNC machining equipment, a machining center, a high-precision cylinder processing special equipment, a robot welding machine, an automatic cleaning machine, automatic cylinder assembly machine, and automatic painting production line. Existing critical equipment of more than 300 sets (sets). The optimal allocation and efficient use of equipment resources ensure the accuracy requirements of products and meet the high-quality needs of products.
(2) Machining
The machining shop is equipped with a customized inclined rail turning center, machining center, high-speed honing machine, welding robot, and other related equipment, which can handle the processing of cylinder tubes with a maximum inner diameter of 400mm and a maximum length of 6 meters.

With small and medium-sized cylinder automatic water-based paint coating lines, to achieve automatic robot loading and unloading and automatic spraying, the design capacity of 4000 pieces per shift;
